This is actually the newest and nicest place in Kermit. Right off the main road with a courteous and hospitable staff. Clean and spacious rooms w/ free Wi-Fi. A major attraction is the 100% non-smoking rooms ! Loved it! Along with the hot breakfast and FREE dinner (M-Th) give this place hands down the best place in Kermitt to stay.

I go to Kermit every October with friends to go off roading in the desert. I like being able to walk out the door and see our trucks and trailers. It has contractor friendly parking or in my case leisure parking for a truck and 16' trailer. The employees are always nice and accommodating if we ask for an extra copy. This will be my 5th year staying there. Just like Monahans the prices have come down a bunch. At one point everything in Monahans was about $350 a night and this place was $169. When times are good in the oil patch finding workers is cutthroat and the cost of living is very high. You have to pay a premium to get workers which is reflected in the prices when times are good. But they never had the Monahans $350 a night prices when they easily could have raised prices more. Because they didn't do the Monahans Four Seasons pricing for a two star hotel we stay loyal.

Well kept rooms, and breakfast & dinner are offered. And to top it all off: it didn't cost and arm and a leg like many of the other hotels in the region who jacked up their rates since the oil boom happened. Very pleased!

The room was really clean. We checked in late and it wasn't a problem. Very friendly staff and a nice breakfast. Definitely would stay here again.

Very clean, nice staff, friendly. Have not stayed anyplace else in Kermit, Tx, but if you are needing a place to stay, can't imagine your going to find anything nicer. Refrigerator, microwave, pool, breakfast everyday and dinner during the week. A/C works real well, bed is comfortable and room very clean.

I have stayed 1 night so far with my Girlfriend and got a 2 night stay, at first i was like damn thats high for a 2 night stay but nope it comes with Breakfast and also comes with wifi, Cable and a pool. The staff is really nice as well super friendly. Id recommend Southern Inn in Kermit Tx to anyone. Kermit is a small town and this Place is a good Hotel for our Small Town!

Newer very clean motel. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Room was nice with microwave, refrigerator and coffee maker. Bed was comfortable. Best choice if you need to stay overnight in Kermit Texas.

Enjoyed my stay while I was here. Was visiting family for a week and really enjoyed my room. Spacious and clean. Bathrooms was very clean. Beds was comfortable. Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. I will be back

If you take a trip to or through Kermit, TX do yourself a favor and enjoy a true jewel. The Southern Inn and Suite is a bit of the beaten path but it will be a most memorable stay. The rooms are very well built, noise free, and well …

Loved the small town hospitality I received while staying here. Very welcoming atmosphere. Love the new management they have. Very friendly and helpful. The rooms was very nice and comfy. Loved the water pressure. Felt right at home.
